Career-Test

What's this?

Based on six personality types, Career-Test will look for occupations and careers that suit you.

Here you have six personality types and sliders. Move the six slider buttons to describe your personality types.

Career-Test uses six personality types to find suitable occupations. We use the six types of John L Holland's vocational RIASEC-model. The six RIASEC types: R = Realistic (DOER). I = Investigative (THINKER). A = Artistic (CREATOR). S = Social (HELPER). E = Enterprising (PERSUADER). C = Conventional (ORGANIZER). The scores on the six types have a 5-point scale. You can move the buttons on the six sliders. Move your mouse cursor over a button to read all about a personality type. Most people use two or three of the six types to look for matching occupations. You can move the buttons on the six sliders. Click and move the button on each slider to the level that suits your type.

After searching a database of more than 1200 occupations Career-Test shows you a list of 20 occupations, meant to give you a broad understanding of occupations and careers that match your interests and motivation. Scientific research shows that different types of people have matching preferences for certain types of work and occupations. This is called vocational interest. The occupations in the database ask for different levels of education and experience. You can filter the occupations in the database on education and experience at five levels. Ask for one or more levels by clicking on the checkboxes.

Set the slides for your types, check the boxes for different levels and then click [MATCH CAREERS] to get the list of occupations. Click on [MATCH AGAIN] to change types and levels and do a new match.
